Unfortunately we didn't manage to get a picture of the stuffed moose at the side of the road near Apple Valley, done up to look like a reindeer.
Palm Springs had wind turbines, and dust, and sunshine, and suburbs full of very ordinary bungalows with very high hedges.
We went on a Houses of the Celebrities tour. Everyone else on the bus was older than the two of us put together (even the driver & guide). They said Bob Hope just used his big
house on the hillside for parties - he spent most of his time pottering about his bungalow in Palm Springs proper and sitting by the pool. So I guess I live like a film star already!
Saw this car parked next to ours at the Motel 6 in Palm Springs - the sticker says "You're just jealous because the voices talk to me".
We stopped at the General Patton Museum and took our first Mr Bendy picture for Neil and Mia. Later we stopped at a "comfort station". Unlike the French, they have proper loos. You can't go behind a cactus, even a saguaro, unless you're very very thin.
